Yong Junhyung has left HIGHLIGHT.

On March 14th, it was revealed that Junhyung confessed his fault for viewing a hidden camera video that Jung Joon Young filmed illegally back in 2015. The incident was reportedly not the one rumored to have been shared through a chat message released by Korean media, but it did take place in a one-on-one chat the day after a drinking gathering.

Junhyung revealed that he watched the footage without thinking about it as a serious crime and confessed that he made comments about the video to Jung Joon Young about it. He did clarify that he never filmed anything illegally himself and didn’t participate in circulating the footage. However, he recognizes that he was “a silent bystander about this severe issue.”

He called his own behavior immoral and apologized sincerely to fans and people who are disappointed in him. In addition, he revealed through his letter released on Instagram that he is leaving the group effective March 14th and will spend the rest of his life reflecting on himself and behavior.

Around Us Entertainment, the home of HIGHLIGHT, also released a statement confirming the news.
