Hello lovelies! It’s been a while since I’ve done a K-beauty review, but I’m coming back with the Real Nature Tea Tree Mask Sheet by the popular Korean cosmetics brand Nature Republic! As summer is quickly approaching, it’s important to keep up with a good and natural skincare routine because the hotter months can really stress out our skin from the harmful UV rays we’re exposed to, as well as from excess oil and sweat. Sun protection and staying on top of breakouts is essential to keep skin clear and healthy in the summertime, especially since we’re likely to be outside more and wear less makeup. Sheet masks are a great way to boost hydration and soothe sensitive skin to help achieve that radiant summer glow, and this mask is specially equipped to get the job done. Let’s check it out!

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW:

The Real Nature Tea Tree Mask Sheet is formulated with tea tree oil, which has antimicrobial properties and is known to soothe skin, fight acne, treat psoriasis and eczema, fade scars, and more. The mask ingredients also include chamomile, lavender, lemon balm, eucalyptus, and peppermint extracts, all of which can provide similar soothing and healing benefits for skin and skin conditions. The mask also hydrates and moisturizes, increases product absorption, and makes skin appear more radiant.

INGREDIENTS:

Water, Dipropylene Glycol, Glycerin, Peg/ppg-17/6 Copolymer, Alcohol, Butylene Glycol, Peg-60 Hydrogenated Castor Oil, Paeonia Suffruticosa Root Extract, Centella Asiatica Extract, Xanthan Gum, 1,2- Hexanediol, Ammonium Acryloyldimethyltaurate/vp Copolymer, Melaleuca Alternifolia (Tea Tree) Leaf Extract, Chanonilla Recutita (Matricaria) Flower Extract, Glyceryl Caprylate, Ethylhexylglycerin, Melaleuca Alternifolia (Tea Tree) Leaf Oil, Sodium Hyaluronate, Lavandula Angustifolia (Lavender) Extract, Melissa Officinalis Leaf Extract, Origanum Vulgare Leaf Extract, Pelargonium Graveolens Extract, Eucalyptus Globulus Leaf Extract, Mentha Piperita (Peppermint) Leaf Extract, Disodium Edta, Phenoxyethanol, Fragrance

PRODUCT PERFORMANCE:

The mask material is thin but sturdy, however it was a bit difficult to unfold. The serum is thin, light-feeling, and not sticky. The scent is heavier in the package, but not overpowering. It doesn’t smell like tea tree oil at all, a plus for those that aren’t fans of the strong scent it has. It’s herby, a little earthy, and just slightly floral- reminiscent of a summer garden. I personally really enjoyed the fragrance.

I wore this in the car (hey, don’t judge hehe) with cold air blowing- I appreciate it when a sheet mask has a cooling effect on its own, but chilling your mask in the fridge or sitting in front of a fan are both good ways to keep it cool on your face. Not only does it feel nice (especially on a hot day), but it can help soothe your skin which is always an added bonus. The mask was relaxing and didn’t cause any feeling of irritation. It also stayed on without a problem while sitting upright the entire 30 minutes I wore it. The package didn’t have much leftover serum to use after, but what was left on my face absorbed very quickly with no feeling of stickiness.

FINAL THOUGHTS:

The serum was adequately moisturizing, and it made my skin feel smoother and look brighter as most masks do, but unfortunately my skin wasn’t any less red afterward. However, while I didn’t notice too much improvement the following day, my mild acne did start to improve the day after that with no other changes to my skincare routine. While I wasn’t super wowed by it, it was still moisturizing and a nice experience overall, especially for the $2 USD price tag. I’d like to try it again to keep testing how it affects blemishes.
