On July 26th KST, XG once again proved their versatility with the fearlessly different pre-release track, “SOMETHING AIN’T RIGHT!”
The retro-mood song is based on a garage rhythm that can “find diversity hidden in minimalism through a catchy chorus and post drop that highlights the individuality of each of the 7 members of XG.”
“SOMETHING AIN’T RIGHT” is produced by XG’s agency CEO and representative producer, JAKOPS. It aims to combine a dynamic 90s feel and XG’s unique style to create music that anyone, regardless of age or gender, will want to dance to. Their second mini-album will be out on November 8th KST.
XG, full name Xtraordinary Girls, is a seven-member hip-hop/R&B group with an intergalactic concept under XGALX. It is composed of Chisa, Hinata, Jurin, Harvey, Juria, Maya, and Cocona. All of the members are Japanese but the team is based in South Korea and promotes a discography sung predominantly in English.

Katherine grew up watching Korean dramas and other Asian shows. Although she first learned to appreciate Korean music through OSTs broadcasted locally, it wasn’t until 2011 that she properly paid attention to K-pop.
