On December 8th at 6 p.m. KST, vocal quartet VOISPER presented their last album, The Finale. Their company, Evermore Entertainment, revealed that the group would be disbanding after six years together following the release of The Finale through statement on December 7th KST:
The title song “This Is The Day” is a sentimental ballad containing beautiful harmonies and delicate emotions. VOISPER’s trademark singing capabilities and orchestra arrangements come together to tell the story of a man’s desire to confess his hidden love before it’s too late. The lyric video for “This Is The Day” features a clip montage from throughout the group’s career, increasing the sentimental factor of the song.
It contains six tracks including “Fall Apart” (member Kangsan’s self-composed song), “Road To Farewell” (written and composed by Choongi), and Kwangho’s autobiographical song “I’m Waiting For You” which is about personal growth and healing. The VOISPER members directly participated in the composition, lyrics and production of The Finale.
Consisting of four high school friends of the same age, the group first came to prominence in 2014 appearing on season 6 of Mnet’s “Superstar K” under the name “North Incheon Nineteen.” Eventually signing with Evermore Entertainment, the group changed their name to VOISPER (a combination of Voice and Whisper) and made their official debut on March 2nd, 2016 KST.
While we are sad to see VOISPER come to an end, the music and performances over the past six years will continue to live on. We wish the group all the best in their future endeavors!
