UP10TION member and “Boys Planet” alum Lee Dongyeol (formerly known as Xiao) has made his solo debut with his first mini album Howling on May 8th at 6 p.m. KST!
Featuring the title track “Drip Drop,” a dance-pop song with various dreamy, sexy, and dark moods and sounds. At the same time, the singer’s charming voice and the lead instrumentation of the chorus work together to create an enchanting and intense lasting impression.
Dongyeol composed the track with Junsoo and Donghwan of ATUNES’s music production team and Aden K. who also wrote the song’s lyrics.
The music video for “Drip Drop” sees the boy group member step into the role of a werewolf, complete with thrilling visual effects and captivating styling.
Meanwhile, the fierce choreography is performed with finesse, as expected from the artist who gained prominence for his performance skills on the survival program “Boys Planet.”
Dongyeol participated in the production of each of the five tracks on Howling. Notably, the debut mini-album contains the song “Burn It Down” which features a close friend, former VICTON member Do Hanse.
Following UP10TION’s departure from longtime company TOP Media last year, Dongyeol joined agency PA Entertainment. Also the home of fellow member and “Boys Planet” contestant Lee Hwanhee, the pair plan to work together as a unit in the future.
