WATCH: TWICE Becomes Animated Super Stars In New “CANDY POP” MV

The girls of TWICE have become animated cuties in their newest Japanese music video for “CANDY POP”!

On January 11th, 2018, the TWICE JAPAN OFFICIAL YouTube Channel dropped a full music video for TWICE’s Japanese single “CANDY POP.” The video is styled with a unique mixture of Japanese animation and CGI animation. The girls are seen running away from their cartoon world in order to cheer up a young girl who idolizes them in the real world. Following a high-speed chase, the members of TWICE each have their own anime-style “transformation” scene. However, they are surrounded with a collection of fun characters that help them along their way.

“CANDY POP” is an upbeat trance tune reminiscent of Japanese pop songs from the early 2000’s. It is the title track off of TWICE’s second single album of the same name. The album will be fully released on February 7th, 2018.
