In the middle of their “2024 RELAY TOUR [REBOOT]” Asia tour, YG Entertainment boy group TREASURE released a new song on May 28th at 6 p.m. KST!
“KING KONG” is a dance track that features dynamic ups and downs, and creates a unique sound with a punchy beat and strong bass. The powerful vocal and rap performances showcase the ten members’ impressive musical growth, while the lyrics express a love that can’t be fulfilled by comparing it to King Kong.
TREASURE leader Choi Hyunsuk and main rapper Yoshi both penned lyrics for “KING KONG” and various international and domestic music producers worked on the track. These include Ludwig Lindell, Daniel Caesar, Sandra Wikström, Jared Lee, AiRPLAY, Illjun, Sonny, CHOICE37, and LIL G.
The intense and cinematic music video captures the conceptual side of TREASURE in a fast-paced storyline that presents a stronger image and visual maturity.
The group recently wrapped up the first part of their “2024 RELAY TOUR [REBOOT]” Asia tour completing shows in Manila, Hong Kong, and Bangkok across various dates in May. The remainder of the tour will kick off on June 22nd in Kuala Lumpur, followed by two shows in Jakarta.
