“What would you do if you happen to witness a murder outside your door?’’
Next Entertainment World has dropped a trailer for the crime-thriller film “The Witness’’!
“The Witness’’ is directed by Cho Kyu Jang and tells a story about a man named Sang Hoon (Lee Sung Min) who witness a murder outside his apartment building. Upon hearing a loud scream at dawn, he goes out of his balcony and sees a woman being murdered by somebody. Just as he is about to call the police, he happens to make eye contact with the murderer.
Frightened, Sang Hoon chooses to not file any report to the police… until he became the next target of the killer.
Other main casts include Kwak Si Yang (“Fight For My Way”), Kim Sang Ho (‘’Lookout’’) and Jin Kyung (‘’Love Sling’’).
The film was inspired by the murder case of Kitty Genovese, a woman stabbed to death in front of her apartment. The case later identified 38 witnesses, but no one took action to report it.
“The Witness’’ premiers on August 15th in local cinemas.
