SNSD‘s Tiffany continues making waves as solo artist Tiffany Young in the American music scene!
Previously on February 14th, Tiffany released “Lips on Lips,” the title track of her first US album bearing the same name. It drew inspiration from the romantic sensation of intimacy and sweetness in a kiss. Tiffany co-wrote the song herself with Satica and Kev Nish of Far East Movement while 9AM produced the project.
The music video for “Lips on Lips” dropped at the same time as the full album on February 22nd. It was filled with quirky props while Tiffany looked liked she stepped right out of a fairytale with her stylish outifts and backgrounds.
Lips on Lips features five tracks: “Born Again,” “Lips on Lips,” “The Flower,” “Not Barbie,” and “Runaway.” “Runaway” features a duet with multiple Grammy Award winner, Kenneth “Babyface” Edmunds.
On Instagram, she revealed the theme for her album. According to her, “The sound and theme is like a fairytale or fantasy through pop music, in every fairytale there is always a fight through struggle and pain right before the moment of triumph and the kiss. Through tough times I’ve had to close my eyes and see the fairytale fantasy past the pain, and sometimes everyone needs that.”
Tiffany will be embarking on her sold-out Lips on Lips North American Mini Showcase Tour on March 3rd in Toronto. It will conclude in Los Angeles on March 8th. She is also currently nominated for Best Solo Breakout at the iHeartRadio Music Awards.
