WATCH: TEMPEST Charts Their Journey With “LIGHTHOUSE” MV

On March 11th at 6 p.m. KST, TEMPEST released their latest mini-album along with a music video for its title track, “LIGHTHOUSE!”

The song shares the group’s story of conquering pain and challenges as part of growing stronger. Its lyrics liken moments of courage and blind faith to sailing out into the dark seas and finding their way to shore thanks to a guiding light.

“LIGHTHOUSE” was written by TEMPEST’s Hwarang and Lew alongside 72, Cho Yunkyoung, David Anthony, AVENUE 52, EARCANDY, and SQVARE. Meanwhile, David Anthony, AVENUE 52, EARCANDY, SQVARE, and 72 composed the track.

TEMPEST’s fifth EP TEMPEST Voyage has four songs in total and is the final installment of the group’s “Storm” series. The members begin their hopeful journey into a broader world through this album.

Katherine grew up watching Korean dramas and other Asian shows. Although she first learned to appreciate Korean music through OSTs broadcasted locally, it wasn’t until 2011 that she properly paid attention to K-pop. She holds a fondness for SEVENTEEN and NCT and would recommend (G)I-DLE, Dreamcatcher, and XG to whoever cared to listen. She reads just about anything and is currently easing back into full novels.
