Super Junior‘s Kangin is coming back to the entertainment world!
On May 29th, a teaser for the upcoming web drama “What Happened To Mirae” was released. Fans were surprised to see that the lead role is played by none other than Kangin of Super Junior. The singer has been on a hiatus for three years, making his return to the entertainment world even more exciting to fans.
The drama is about a college student who travels to Japan on her own. On her last day there, she meets a young man and it seems her life will change from then on. In addition to Kangin, the drama stars Han Yi Su, Navi, Kim Dong Hyuk, and Jin Ho Hyun,
Recently, rumors have been prevalent that both Kangin and Sungmin, who has also been on a hiatus, would be returning to Super Junior for their next comeback. These rumors seem largely due to the fact that other Super Junior members have been heard saying they would make a comeback as a full group. However, it was unclear if they were referring to a comeback with Kyuhyun, who recently finished his military service, or if they were referring to the return of the inactive members as well. Seemingly in response to those rumors and questions, especially now that Kangin is starring in a new drama, a source from the group’s company stated that there are no other activities or projects planned for Kangin at this time. In addition, that they have not yet decided which members will be included in the group’s comeback.
