WATCH: Super Junior Warms The Holidays With Sentimental “Celebrate” MV

On December 15th at 6 p.m. KST, 17-year-old K-pop group Super Junior returned with the second volume of their 11th full album along with a music video for its title track, “Celebrate”!

The pop song shares the members’ gratitude to the fans who have stayed by their side during long journey and their appreciation of the experiences they went through on the road to get where they are now. Kang Eunjung wrote the lyrics for “Celebrate” while Henrik Nordenback, Gabriel Brandes, and Christian Fast took charge of composing the track.

The Road: Celebration comes nearly six months after the first volume, The Road: Keep On Going, was released. Aside from the title song, it also contains four B-side tracks: “Hate Christmas,” “Snowman,” “White Love (at the ski resort),” and “I wish it were you… (If only you).”

Initially conceptualized as a rotational group where members can join and graduate into varying career paths, Super Junior debuted in 2005 with twelve members. Kyuhyun joined the fray in early 2006 and original plan was quickly scrapped, closing off the group’s final line-up. In 2008, Zhoumi and Henry joined promotional activities as part of Super Junior’s sub-group, Super Junior-M, which specifically targeted the Mandopop market.

With some members lost or in hiatus, Super Junior continued to sweep 2022 with releases such as the special single album Winter for Spring, Vol. 1 The Road: Keep On Going, and Vol. 2 The Road: Celebration along with their ninth global tour, “Super Show 9: Road.”
