On February 28th at 6 p.m. KST, second-generation K-pop veteran Super Junior released their special single album!
The headlining ballad track “Callin” was written, composed, and arranged by resident SMTOWN hitmaker, KENZIE. It is bordered with a pop rock sound while singing about being haunted by longing and loneliness as well as wanting to reach out for the warmth of love.
The music video for “Callin'” was produced in two versions with a “Winter for Spring” version (with animation) and a “Winter” version (without animation). According to a press release by SM Entertainment, the main story portrays the man (Winter) who has hidden himself away and the woman (Spring) who patiently waits for him to set himself free. All nine actively promoting members participated in the track and were shown desolately lost in their thoughts while being shut in bare, dimly-lit rooms exposed to the elements.
The Road: Winter for Spring is a special single which also contains two tracks, “Callin” and “Analogue Radio.” The latter is a medium pop song written by Jo Yoon Kyung and KYUM LYK (153/Joombas) and composed by Baek LYK. A comeback live broadcast is expected to be streamed on Super Junior’s official Youtube channel today, on March 1st at 8 p.m. KST.
Super Junior is currently moving towards their 18th year as a team and has steadily remained active through both group and individual activities. They previously released their 10th studio album The Renaissance with the lead track “House Party” in March 2021.
