Stray Kids brings on the charm and laughter on January 16th at 12 a.m. KST with the release of “Maknae On Top” by I.N!
The track wittily declares I.N’s superior status in the group while playfully bullying the older members in the process. Changbin and Bang Chan not only featured on the music video but also took part in the song’s creation by co-writing the lyrics and co-composing with I.N.
In the video’s description section, I.N states that the project came into mind during one of Bang Chan’s production sessions where their leader told him that they should create a song together. He then poked fun at Changbin for being late with writing lyrics before thanking him for producing the track.
I.N also expressed a wish that through this single he had successfully showcased a diverse side of him, hoping that fans enjoyed it, and promises to display more versatility in the future. Finally, the idol wrapped up his message by cheekily cheering on the maknaes listening to the track and telling them to gain strength.
I.N, Changbin, and Bang Chan last returned with their group last September with a repackaged album called IN生 (“IN LIFE”) and its title track, “Back Door.”
