After trying something different back in May with “Lose My Breath,” Stray Kids has returned to form with their highly-anticipated comeback!
On July 19th at 1 p.m. KST, the octet released their ninth mini-album ATE and the music video for its title track, “Chk Chk Boom.”
The title song contains a Latin-style, hip-hop rhythm interpreted in Stray Kids’ color. It has a combination of addictive loops, as well as languid and unique top lines. The lyrics express the confidence of aiming for the desired goal better than anyone else.
Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman, who are top Hollywood actors and self-proclaimed STAYs, appear in the MV! Members Bangchan and Felix had recently interviewed the stars of the upcoming film “Deadpool & Wolverine” and the movie will feature a brand new song by the K-pop group called “SLASH” on its OST.
Stray Kids’ ninth mini-album fittingly contains eight songs spearheaded by 3RACHA. Meanwhile, Felix also participated in writing and composing the B-Side track “Runners” alongside Bangchan.
The year 2024 sees the group continue their upward trajectory with their attendance at the Met Gala and various fashion events, as well as headlining three international music festivals: “I-Land” in Milan, “BST Hyde Park” in London, and the upcoming “Lollapalooza” in Chicago.
In addition, Stray Kids recently announced their world tour “dominATE” which kicks off in August. The group will visit various cities across Asia and Australia with further dates for Latin America, North America, and Europe to follow.
