SNSD member Hyoyeon is officially stepping out as a DJ.
On April 18th at 6 PM KST, the singer released her very first single as HYO, entitled “Sober.”
The song is being described as a “tropical future-house genre track with an addictive electric guitar hook” and is a collaboration with popular Dutch DJ-producer Ummet Ozcan. The lyrics tell the story of recovery after a break-up, with an empowered Hyoyeon singing that even though she misses the one she once loved, she’d ready to ‘sober up’ and move on.
Meanwhile, a brand new single is not the only thing DJ HYO has in store for the month. The singer has also planned a special DJ performance at Club Made in Seoul’s Gangnam district for April 22nd.
