naevis is officially here!
On September 10th at 6 p.m. KST, SMTOWN‘s first virtual artist was launched with her first digital single and music video, “Done.”
The song’s lyrics tell the story of naevis as she steps into a new world after closing a chapter in her life. It also symbolizes her journey to freedom from the clutches of a space and existence that has long suppressed her.
“Done” was written and composed by Jens Duvsjö, Alma Goodman, and Klara Elias. Fans previously got a glimpse of the track during aespa‘s “SYNK: PARELLEL LINE” tour where naevis performed a special stage performance
naevis is a character from aespa’s lore, introduced as a being/a system that helps the girls and their avatars through various challenges. Presented by SM Virtual IP Center, she was created with hyperrealistic VFX technology, AI voice technology, and generative AI. SMTOWN plans to eventually expand her story with unique projects and collaborations.

Katherine grew up watching Korean dramas and other Asian shows. Although she first learned to appreciate Korean music through OSTs broadcasted locally, it wasn’t until 2011 that she properly paid attention to K-pop.
