SHINee‘s Taemin returned on November 9th at 6 p.m. KST with the second part of his album and a music video for the title track, “IDEA”!
“IDEA” was described as a song that draws upon Plato’s “Theory of Ideas” to “unravel the process of finding a new identity away from his former self.” It was written by Moon Sulli and composed by Austin Owens, Tay Jasper, Jimmy Claeson, James Foye III, and Adrian McKinnon. James Foye III and Austin Owens were then joined by TAK to create the arrangement. K-pop legend and SMTOWN labelmate BoA lent her voice to the track, adding a soft mystical quality to its sound.
Never Gonna Dance Again : Act 2 is the second half of Taemin’s third full album which features nine new songs, including a collaboration with Red Velvet‘s Wendy. It comes a month after the reveal of its first part which was headlined by the darker and more sensual track, “Criminal.”
