TAEMIN is back with his first release since joining Big Planet Made earlier this year!
ETERNAL is the fifth mini-album from the SHINee superstar which was released on August 19th at 6 p.m. KST along with the music video for the title track “Sexy In The Air.”
“Sexy In The Air” is an impressive song that combines metallic electro guitar sounds with intense hip-hop rhythms and carves out a heavy synth bass sound that crosses genres such as trap, boom bap, and drill. The sharp sound emphasizes a strong sense of self-identity and pride and conveys a desire for change and self-expression.
The music video is quintessential TAEMIN as it embodies expressing the desire and confidence to move forward. It features psychedelic imagery which is expressed with a sense of speed as the large-scale set and performance change.
TAEMIN’s captivating charm is expressed by sensual moments through the elements of water, light, and wind. The EP’s second title track “HORIZON” is also teased at the end of the “Sexy In The Air” music video.
ETERNAL is the first album production in which TAEMIN fully demonstrates his capabilities as an artist and producer. He participated in the entire process from planning the music, photo jacket concept, and music video while also taking part in composing each of the record’s seven tracks as well as penning lyrics on three songs.
