SHINee has finally made a comeback with their sixth studio album, The Story Of Light!
On May 28th at 6 p.m. KST, the members released the album, along with a music video for its title track “Good Evening.” The album is the first ‘episode’ of what is scheduled to be a three-part album series.
This time around, the group worked with a number of internationally renowned producers, including The Fliptones, Kenzie, and DEEZ. They also continued to collaborate with famed Kpop producer Choi Jin Suk, who previously worked on their singles “Dream Girl,” “Everybody,” and “Why So Serious.”
The Story Of Light was released a day after SHINee’s ten year debut anniversary fanmeeting, held at Korea University’s Hwajung Gymnasium. Titled “SHINee Debut 10th Anniversary ☆ SHINee DAY,” the boys spent the event not only debuting their new tracks, but performing older songs like “Replay” and “Everybody” for their loyal fanbase.
To be able to connect with even more fans, SHINee also appeared in a special “Music Gift Box” broadcast for the SMTOWN multimedia broadcast channel !t Live on the evening of the album’s release.
After the unfortunate passing of vocalist Jonghyun, this marks the group’s first comeback as four members, leading the Kpop world and music industry to watch their comeback closely.
