SEVENTEEN‘s HOSHI introduced his first solo mixtape along with a music video on April 2nd at 6 p.m. KST!
“Spider” likens the complicated emotions of attraction to being trapped in a dangerous but very alluring spiderweb. The song’s addition of “dreamlike pluck sounds and a restrained bassline” adds an deep thrilling layer to the portrayed struggle of the chase.
Its accompanying music video displays HOSHI’s skill as a dancer and as an artist, incorporating dance and imagery reminiscent of the song’s namesake.
According to a description included with the upload, “Through HOSHI Mixtape Spider, HOSHI establishes himself as a choreographer, lyricist, and songwriter, showcasing his creative independence and growth as the artist ‘HOSHI.'”
