On April 5th at 6 p.m. KST, Red Velvet‘s Wendy made her solo debut with “Like Water”!
A soft acoustic pop ballad written by SM Entertainment mainstays Kenzie and Yoo Youngjin alongside Coach & Sendo and Anne Judith Stokke Wik, it expresses gratitude and describes a healing love that can be relied on. Coach & Sendo also arranged the track and teamed up with Anne Judith Stokke Wik for its arrangement.
Like Water includes five tracks namely, “Why Can’t You Love Me?” “The Road,” “Bestfriend (featuring Seulgi),” and the double title songs “Like Water” and “When This Rain Stops.”
Wendy last participated in a Red Velvet comeback with “Psycho” in 2019. A few days after they started their activities, she suffered a terrifying stage accident during a rehearsal which forced her to take a long break due to serious injuries. The singer has been slowly easing back into promotions these past few months and is the first Red Velvet member to make her solo debut.
