Red Velvet has released a music video for their new Japanese track, “Cookie Jar.”
Released on June 21st, the colorful video shows the girls as they are seemingly pleased with an overload of cookies, candies, and other delicious-looking sweets. Despite the bright imagery, things take a slight detour when things get a bit weird. As with many of the group’s videos, the imagery suddenly hints at something darker when all the things they thought they enjoyed and loved are seen hiding dangerous buttons and crawling with ants.
“Cookie Jar” is the first single off Red Velvet’s upcoming album in Japan. This will mark their first mini-album to be released in Japan and will drop on July 4th.
