ONEWE is here with their first mini-album Planet Nine : Alter Ego and its title track “Rain To Be” this June 16th at 6 p.m. KST!
The song describes a fateful encounter with love so powerful that it moved the universe as well a boy who is reminded of the one he loves whenever it rains. Guitarist Kanghyun and rapper/bassist CyA wrote the lyrics. The two members also composed the track with RBW producer Jeon Dawoon.
Creating the feeling of being in the rain, drums wave over the addictive guitar riff and a sweet melody line. The resemblance of rain sounds echoing in the air lingers like an afterimage while the combination of musical elements evokes a dreamlike experience for the listener.
The music video captures the intense performance of ONEWE in the midst of rising water. It was directed by ZanyBros’ Hong Wonki who has worked with the band since their debut.
Containing seven tracks composed by every member, Planet Nine : Alter Ego is an album that showcases ONEWE’s growing musical identity and distinct mature sound. The 5-member team continues to impress by displaying a spectrum of solid performances regardless of genre and pushing the limits to establish themselves as a next-generation band.
