Welcoming the new year with a new musical release, OMEGA X launched their second mini-album along with a music video for its lead single “Love Me Like” on January 5th KST!
Passionate and sensual, the lyrics talk about being hopelessly ensnared by their lover and strongly desiring to stay with them beyond this crazy moment. The moombahton-laced track was written and composed by AnoTHeR and HOYAS. Their second EP, which is also called Love Me Like, contains five songs including “12.24” which was earlier revealed during their first fanmeeting in late 2021.
Though a press release, member Jaehan stated that he believes that this album displays their diversity as a group. He also expressed his gratitude to be able to showcase their songs and hopes that he can show a new charm and side of the team that fans have yet to see, particularly through their self-composed B-side tracks.
Omega X’s youngest, Yechan, shared that he poured his sincerity and his heart into each song he writes and B-side track “Liar” is no different. He hopes that their fans find the album relatable and that it brings the group closer to them. Meanwhile, Hangyeom expressed his excitement at seeing fans so soon with a fast comeback and disclosed that he has written lyrics for “Liar” and “Please.” He also promised to continue working hard in order to bring the best songs for them to enjoy.
Omega X is an 11-member male idol group that debuted under Spire Entertainment in June 2021. According to their agency, ” Omega (Ω), the last letter of the Greek alphabet, symbolizes the end, while the letter X denotes the unknown with infinite possibilities. Combined, Omega X suggests their determination to become the last boss of K-pop, symbolizing constant change and growth.”
All of the members previously participated in reality audition programs or had already made their debut as part of different K-pop acts. Their inclusion in the line-up for Omega X marks a new chapter in their journey to pursue their dreams and to continue their passion for music. They stepped into the limelight with their first mini-album VAMOS before making a swift return with What’s Goin’ On in September.
