Fifth-generation boy group NOWADAYS is back with their second single on August 27th at 6 p.m. KST!
NOWHERE comes after the group’s successful debut back in April which saw the quintet nominated for a music show win within the same week.
The title track “Why Not?” is a fast-tempo hip-hop song with a funky brass sound and non-stop rapping. The playful members’ charming vocals and rhythmic flow effectively showcase NOWADAYS’s free-spirited, intense, and kitschy bad-boy side. Meanwhile, the lyrics depict a boy in love with his dream girl as his friends playfully tease him.
The production team BOOMBASTIC wrote, composed, and arranged the track while multi-platinum Swedish songwriter Albin Nordqvist serves as composer on the song.
The “Why Not?” music video is fun to watch and stays true to the concept of a boy in love. Against the backdrop of a gymnasium, the members of NOWADAYS dress as various athletes while professing their love without stopping.
NOWHERE contains three songs including the single closer “Troublesome,” where NOWADAYS youngest member Siyun participated in the rap-making.
