On September 10th at midnight KST, NCT 127 released their fourth track video, titled “Lemonade,” as part of the hype for leading up to their big comeback on September 17th at 1 p.m. KST with their third full length album, Sticker.
The first three track videos, “Dreamer,” “Magic Carpet,” and “Road Trip,” were released on September 4th, September 6th, and September 8th respectively. “Dreamer” has a bouncy and carefree sound with claps and prominent brassy beat. Meanwhile, “Magic Carpet” and “Road Trip” are filled with piano and guitar sounds, giving a melodic, comforting feel to the songs.
“Lemonade” gives fans whiplash as the concept spins 180-degrees into bad boy territory. The track experiments with Jaehyun carrying the rap line as the background glitches and warps behind him. Taeyong sing/whispers the chorus while Mark and Yuta pump everyone up in the pre-chorus. NCT127 dances powerfully against a fire lit background of yellow and black. With this color scheme and distinct oriental instrumentations, fans speculate that this is could be a nod to their globally acclaimed single, “Kick It”.
