NCT WISH dropped their pre-release digital single “Dunk Shot” on September 9th at 6 p.m. KST, leading to their forthcoming first mini-album Steady.
Although the new track shares a name with NCT Dream‘s 2017 song, the two are not the same. “Dunk Shot” is a dance song with snares reminiscent of a basketball dribble and a cool synth sound.
The lyrics compare the process of running to fulfill one’s dreams to basketball while moves in the performance resemble various basketball skills. The concept emphasizes the sporty aspects of the song and creates the feeling of watching a dynamic basketball game.
In the music video, NCT WISH is a basketball team training hard for the championship. The members showcase their teamwork and growth by adding a sporty edge to their regular clean and bright image. The first mini-album Steady will be out on September 24th at 6 p.m. KST!
