It’s only February and popular group NCT has already shown, in many ways, that they are ready to rule 2018!
On February 8th, SM Entertainment released a clip titled “NCTmentary EP1. Dream Lab.” What seems to be a series of videos meant to explain the unique concept of NCT as a Kpop group, the narration explains the international theme of the band as a whole. A voice in English follows the members’ opening lines in their own native languages, explaining that NCT has no limit on members nor where they come from. They are a group meant to be fueled on shared dreams and passion alone.
The video even takes on an almost “futuristic fantasy” fictional theme as it continues. Johnny is seen as a researcher, diving into the dreams of his members and the viewers are along for the ride. The almost movie-like clip then brings us into TEN’s “dream”. The NCTmentary episodes are likely NCT’s form of introducing the viewers to their concepts for upcoming comebacks, as well as a unique way to introduce the public to new members.
In fact, in a new V Live broadcast, NCT gathered as 18 members and explained they would be working together to release new music, including songs from different units such as NCT Dream, NCT U, and more. Member Taeyong also revealed that they would be dropping a total of six different music videos!
Are you excited for future episodes of NCTmentary? Definitely check out the video below, then let us know!
