New boy group NCHIVE has officially debuted with their first digital single Drive and the music video for the title track “Racer” on April 9th at noon KST!
The team’s name combines the letter N for “unknown” and “archive” for storage, which means capturing a diverse musical spectrum and storing happy memories with listeners.
Their debut song “Racer” is a catchy hip-hop tune that conveys the rookie’s bold ambition to take on the world despite the competition. It was written by So Do Yeon, Lee Gyeong (wavecloud), and CHILLER of producing group Vendors. The latter also helped compose the track with fellow Vendors producers Helixx and XLIMIT as well as EL CAPITXN and Benji Bae.
NCHIVE’s first digital single Drive contains three tracks including the title song, the lively drum ‘n’ bass number “Dive In,” and the bright and uplifting all-English track “Fireworks.”
The debut album showcases the diverse musicality of the seven-member group from Aubemoon Studio and provides enjoyment to listeners while making their strong aspirations known.
Unfortunately, member Minjun suffered an injury in preparation for NCHIVE’s debut (originally scheduled for March 11th) causing the release date to be postponed by a month. He was unable to participate in the debut activities while he recovers, so the group is currently promoting as six members.
We wish Minjun all the best in his recovery and look forward to seeing his return as a full-fledged member of NCHIVE soon!
