After pre-releasing a music video for “Intro: Ambition” last October 7th KST, MONSTA X‘s Joohoney fully revealed his fourth mixtape!
Along with the collection, the idol also dropped music videos on October 9th KST for “Psyche” and “Smoky” which showcased a grittier side of him as an artist.
The former references the struggle of getting to the top, the difficulties that had to be faced as well as bitter pills that were choked down in order to get victory in their grasp, and the perception of life being a constant uphill battle. Meanwhile, “Smoky” talks about the suffering that a rough psychological state inflicts and the slow process of piecing themselves back together.
PSYCHE includes seven tracks in total, featuring collaborations with artists such as TEM, Boa Kim, and KEEMBO. Joohoney personally wrote and composed each piece of his mixtape, welcoming listeners to his private thoughts and introducing them to a more fleshed out musical identity.

Katherine has been an ELF since 2010. She reads just about anything and is raising a pride of demanding cats. She recently finished TGCF and 2ha. She’ll probably get to reading SVSS and MDZS next before hunting down other novels. Can’t wait to suffer with Chu Wanning in Immortality!
