Minzy, former member of 2NE1, has finally made her official solo debut! On April 17th KST, she dropped her new song, “NiNaNo,” featuring the rapper Flowsik!
Minzy is fierce as ever in this video, showcasing her true talents and how much she has grown from her fifteen-year-old self that debuted with 2NE1 back in 2009. The song has a techno-tribal vibe about it that definitely fits Minzy’s style and a chorus beat drop that just gets you jamming! When you group that with the catchy, repeating “na-no ni-na-no” line, impressive dancing, and a colorful aesthetic, it combines to make a great solo debut!
For those who don’t already know Flowsik’s music, you may recognize him from Junsu‘s song “Tarantallegra” or his song with Luizy called “Recipe.”
2NE1‘s official disbanding in late November of last year left many fans heartbroken, but with an eye to the future of their idols. While CL and Dara renewed their contracts with YG Entertainment, Minzy signed with a company called Music Works.
