After months of pre-releases with Aqua Tape and Burgundy Tape, self-producing idol group M.O.N.T is back with their third mini-album, entitled Listen Up!
Released on October 16th, the title track “Anti-Hero” is a mid-tempo fusion of hip-hop and pop with catchy brass sounds in the hook. The group’s unique vocals and sophisticated, articulate rapping are impressive as the three members express the lyrics through their individual styles and perspectives.
Lyrically, the song is a warning message to haters who try to bring M.O.N.T down, as well as a passionate declaration that they will not be influenced by other peoples’ opinions.
For the first time, M.O.N.T produced the entire album themselves, thus capturing the FM Entertainment boy group’s endless musical spectrum. The six-track mini-album fully explores a diverse range of genres such as city-pop, jazz, and synth-pop. It also features every song from Aqua Tape and Burgundy Tape.
