WATCH: LUCY Is Lost In A World Full Of Heroes In “Villain” MV

Four-piece super band LUCY released their fifth mini-album FROM. and the music video for its title track on August 14th at 6 p.m. KST.

“Villain” is a modern rock song that features the quartet’s distinct sound with a delicate violin melody over a fast-paced drum beat. In particular, the rise-and-fall arrangement perfectly captures the emotional changes of life.

The pessimistic lyrics, contrary to the bright and refreshing melody, enhance the unique charm of the song. LUCY’s Cho Wonsang penned the lyrics while also participating in the composition with Choi Young Hun, O.YEON, and EUGENE (HIGHBRID).

The accompanying music video stars comedian Kim Kyung Wook who portrays the irony of a stand-up comic and his internal struggles both on and off stage.

The second title track “Complex” is a jazzy number that doesn’t have a music video but is another delightful find on LUCY’s fifth mini-album. With this release, Wonsang continues as the team’s main producer. However, the EP also includes “Burn It” which band member Shin Gwangil wrote and composed.
