Top Cloud Entertainment group LAM (Like A Movie) has returned with their third single album, a remake of the 1998 Sechskies hit “Couple,” on June 3rd at 12 p.m. KST.
The reworked version was produced by the same team who worked on the original, including lyricist Jang Daesung and composers Ma Kyungsik and Kim Hyunah. Additionally, seasoned OST composer Wi Jongsoo participated in its arrangement to make the song more appealing for a new generation of listeners.
LAM’s fresh and lively vocals create an exciting atmosphere which in turn gives the song a modern feel. The rising boy group managed to preserve the essence of the original while bringing their own distinct color to this K-pop classic.
In the music video, the five members of LAM can be seen incorporating parts of the original movies into a more contemporary choreography. The MV perfectly showcases the bright charms of Domo, Siryu, Woohyuk, Mingyu, and Joha, highlighting the effortless performance style that has been winning over fans since LAM’s 2018 debut.
