“Believer,” an upcoming Korean film, is South Korea’s remake of Johnnie To’s box office hit “Drug War.’’
Directed by Lee Hae Young (“The Silenced’’), the crime action film follows the story of detective Won Ho (Choi Jin Woong) who goes undercover in a drug ring. He partners with Rak (Ryu Jun Yeol), a member of the drug ring, in order to take it down and catch Teacher Lee (Kim Joo Hyuk), their leader.
This film marks the last movie of the late actor Kim Joo Hyuk.
Other cast members include Park Hae Joon, Kim Sung Ryoung, and Cha Seung Won.
This film is one of the most anticipated crime thrillers of the year ahead of its release on May 24th.
