Two teaser videos have been released for the new drama “School 2017.”
The “School” series is heading back to TV as KBS2 announced “School 2017,” the seventh installment of KBS2’s franchise.
Directed by Park Jin-suk and written by Li Soo-mi, the story revolves around the lives of teenagers trying to cope with their lives in school and struggling to pursue their dreams.
The main leads are Kim Sejeong who will be playing as Ra-eun Ho, an optimistic student who works hard to retain her high-ranking in school to enroll in the same college as her crush. However, she end up in a dilemma when she is mistakenly accused of being a delinquent at school. Kim Sejeong is a member of the Kpop group gugudan, and this is her first acting lead role. Rookie actor Kim Jung Hyun will play as Kim Tae-woon, a stubborn and rude student who was transferred to a Korean school after being kicked out his school in America. Jang Dong Yoon will act as Song Dae-hwi, a perfect student who is good at everything but lacks affection from his parents. Seol-in Ah will play a popular girl, Hong Nam Joo, that’s a vain student who prefers her looks over anything else.
Other casts include Park Se Wan, Seo Ji Hoon, Ro Woon, Ha Seung Ri, Kim Hee Chan, Han Joo Wan and Han Sun Hwa.
The drama will be slightly different from the other “School” shows because of an added twist of a mystery in the storyline.
KBS2’s “School 2017” premieres on July 17 at 10 p.m. KST.
