KATSEYE is back with another music video!
On July 26th KST, the global girl group revealed the digital single “Touch” ahead of their upcoming album. It is the second pre-release song (following “Debut” which was revealed in June) from their soon-to-be-launched first mini-album, SIS (Soft Is Strong).
The dynamic pop song talks about keeping in touch and emphasizes the importance of communication in love. It was written by Taka Perry, Magnus August Høiberg, Blake Slatkin, Omer Fedi, Caroline Ailin, and Jessica Mimi Porfiri. Meanwhile, Blake Slatkin, Cashmere Cat, Omer Fedi, and Taka Perry produced the track.
KATSEYE was formed through the reality program “The Debut: Dream Academy,” a collaboration between Hybe UMG and Geffen Records. The show ran from September to November 2023 and aimed to create a group that would promote in the United States. The group’s final line-up consisted of Daniela, Lala, Manon, Megan, Sophia, and Yunchae.

Katherine grew up watching Korean dramas and other Asian shows. Although she first learned to appreciate Korean music through OSTs broadcasted locally, it wasn’t until 2011 that she properly paid attention to K-pop. She holds a fondness for SEVENTEEN and NCT and would recommend (G)I-DLE, Dreamcatcher, XG, and KISS OF LIFE to whoever cared to listen.
