WATCH: KARA’s Heo Young Ji Debuts As A Solo Artist With “L.O.V.E” MV

On September 12th at 6 p.m. KST, Heo Young Ji made her debut as a solo artist with the title track, “L.O.V.E!”

Penned by Seo Jieum and composed by ROCOBERRY, AVIN, SLAY, and CHASE, the dance song features a house rhythm base, a bright guitar line, a funky rhythm, and a mix of EDM-pop elements. It carries the message that life is a journey where one should move forward at every moment with the positive energy of love.

Heo Young Ji’s first solo album is called Toi Toi Toi and has a total of three tracks: “L.O.V.E,” “Focus,” and “Climax.” The single album represents good luck and a new beginning for the singer who debuted as the youngest addition to the second-generation group KARA back in 2014.

Katherine grew up watching Korean dramas and other Asian shows. Although she first learned to appreciate Korean music through OSTs broadcasted locally, it wasn’t until 2011 that she properly paid attention to K-pop. She holds a fondness for SEVENTEEN and NCT and would recommend (G)I-DLE, Dreamcatcher, and XG to whoever cared to listen. She reads just about anything and is currently easing back into full novels.
