WATCH: Kang Daniel Sparks An Interest In “Electric Shock” Music Video

Kang Daniel makes his triumphant return after a year and three months with his fifth mini-album ACT on September 23rd at 6 p.m. KST.

The title track “Electric Shock” is a modern pop R&B record. It features a unique shuffle groove with an eighth-note piano pattern, and unique pizzicato melodic development as well as trap drums and synth bass supporting the fast vocal rhythms.

The dynamic and shifting arrangement features a variety of aural elements including classic trap horns and effects that reinforce the lyrical theme of the song. Kang Daniel took part in writing “Electric Shock,” which lyrically expresses the determination to not let go of being a singer.

The music video captures the singer’s unique personality as he plays two versions of himself leading opposite lives “on stage” and “off stage.” The dance crew We Dem Boyz joins in to create a strong and impressive performance fitting the song.

ACT contains five tracks, including a duet with Chung Ha and a physical album-only song. The new album serves as Kang Daniel’s first release under his new home at ARA (Artistic Round Alliance).
