JUNNY is giving us a hit of dopamine — as the name of his latest EP suggests — on June 13th at 6 p.m. KST!
The title track “Rush” features BOBBY of iKON and contains the idea that life has to have bitterness to taste the sweetness better. The song explores finding the joy within the gap between what you crave and reality.
Both JUNNY and BOBBY participated in writing and composing “Rush,” along with producer iryo. Meanwhile, jeanjinn jane penned additional lyrics while no2zcat, CHANNEL 201, and Charming Lips completed further work on the composition.
The music video depicts the song’s concept through a story about the emotions felt in real life while watching a virtual love affair, which causes a dopamine rush from the beautifully packaged images that give the illusion of reality but are in contrast to reality.
dopamine includes six songs written and produced by JUNNY, which look at the relationship between dopamine and stress from the singer-songwriter’s unique perspective.
Using interpretations and double entendres about various forms of dopamine, the EP leaves room for listeners to reflect on their stress and dopamine, examining what it looks like and where it comes from.
