On October 3rd at 12 p.m. KST, boy group VX‘s former member and vocalist JT made his solo debut with his first digital single, “Color.”
The song is a medium tempo R&B/hip-hop track centered around melodic guitar sounds that harmonize with JT’s sweet and soft vocal tone. It was written and produced by the singer who also composed the track with arrangers Khal and Zyne.
Another former VX member – rapper Jeki, features on the track and provides a powerful rap verse to the song. Fans are rejoicing over the mini-reunion of the group who debuted in 2015 and disbanded in late 2017.
Earlier this year, Jeki worked with other ex-VX members Jinhwa and Dongjun (formerly known as Siyoon) who came up with their new group, Millennium. He wrote, composed, and produced the track “Private” where also participated in the rap part.
Meanwhile, JT had the opportunity to star in seasoned Korean singer WAX’s music video for her song “Us, Back Then” in July. n addition to posting vlogs on his own YouTube channel 주녕안녕 Hello, he had been hinting at solo music for some time now and finally JT’s solo debut has come to fruition with the release of “Color”!
