On October 17th KST, highly-anticipated trainee Jay Chang finally made his full idol transformation with the release of his first EP along with its double title tracks, “Rockstar” and “I’ll Be There!”
“Rockstar” is a confident New Jack Swing track that ambitiously sings about wanting to be someone’s rockstar who brings them music and excitement. Meanwhile, “I’ll Be There!” is a refreshing band song that expresses support, reassurance, and devotion to a person they love dearly.
Jay Cheng wrote lyrics for all of the songs in Late Night and worked with producers who have also made songs for “Boys Planet” where Jay Chang competed as a survival audition show trainee. According to the singer’s agency, the mini-album is a gift for fans who have waited for him for a long time. English versions of the title tracks are also included in the EP for global fans to enjoy.
