Budding pop star JAKE $ING has released his first EP ups & downs on December 9th at 12 a.m. PST (3a.m. EST) along with a music video for “LET DOWN” which dropped later in the day.
“LET DOWN” sings about being invested in a relationship where they are consistently disappointed by someone who shows no remorse. Its accompanying vibrantly comedic music video shows the singer falling into one unfortunate event after another before finding and saving a finned-friend that turns things around.
JAKE $ING is an Asian singer-songwriter with roots in Shanghai but was raised in Temple City California. He signed with Sony Music a year after he made his music debut and showed remarkable results considering that his previous single “Fresh Off The Boat” had made its way into media like Rolling Stone India, Flaunt Magazine, Ones To Watch, and AsAm News. Prior to that, his song “TURN IT UP” hit number one in Hong Kong’s FM 102.7 Urban Pop Music Chart.
JAKE $ING has expressed his admiration for White Iverson and Post Malone as role models but he has also shared that he is a huge K-pop stan, citing Stray Kids, BTS, and MAMAMOO as people who inspire him.
