WATCH: IU And BTS’s V Proves “Love Wins All” In Heart-Wrenching MV

IU is here!

On January 24th at 12 a.m. KST, the singer released the music video for her much-anticipated pre-released digital single, “Love wins all.” The track was then released on major streaming sites at 6 p.m. KST.

Written by IU herself, it is described as something that “contains the stories of those who try to love until the end in a world that hinders love.” The song was composed and arranged by Seo Donghwan.

The music video follows IU and BTS‘s V as an ill-fated couple sharing love and moments of joy in a post-apocalyptic world. It was directed by Um Taehwa who was behind movies like “Sympathy for Lady Vengeance” and “Concrete Utopia.”

IU’s upcoming album has five songs and expresses her gratitude for receiving so much love from her fans. According to the singer, that love changed her life in a snap and changed her from a “pessimistic and worried child” into the current IU who has a “nurturing endless love” in her heart.

She also shares that though she doesn’t know why people have decided to stay by her side, she is determined to be a person who will also accompany them in their highs and lows.

Katherine grew up watching Korean dramas and other Asian shows. Although she first learned to appreciate Korean music through OSTs broadcasted locally, it wasn’t until 2011 that she properly paid attention to K-pop. She holds a fondness for SEVENTEEN and NCT and would recommend (G)I-DLE, Dreamcatcher, and XG to whoever cared to listen. She reads just about anything and is currently easing back into full novels.
