On November 30th at 6 p.m. KST, ITZY returned with a new mini-album and a music video for its title track of the same name!
“Cheshire” is a dance-pop song with a stylish and addictive melody that was written by Hwang Sumin and Jeong Hari of 153/Joombas. The lyrics contain the message to trust your heart instead of your head when it comes to love while the melody incorporates fresh piano riffs with powerful throbbing bass sounds. It was composed by Tim Tan, Ciara Muscat, Josefin Glenmark, JAR (also of 153/Joombas), Justin Reinstein, and JJEAN.
The music video is presented as a quiz show, showcasing the members’ individual personalities and playful sides. The strong image established by the choreography presents an enticing performance and captivates viewers in a way that is uniquely ITZY’s.
Cheshire contains four more tracks that continue to strengthen the group’s distinct musical color and identity. Also included on the album is last month’s pre-released English single, “Boys Like You.”
