INFINITE main vocalist Nam Woohyun has made a splendid return on October 19th at 6 p.m. KST, after two years and five months, with his fourth mini-album, With.
In the same vein as his previous mini-album A New Journey (2019), which was dropped prior to his enlistment, the singer continues to break away from the emotional ballad image which shaped much of his first few solo endeavors.
Title track “Calm & Passion” is an R&B pop song with a dreamy atmosphere, a heavy pulsating bass-line, and Woohyun’s sultry, impressionable vocals. The song was written and composed by singer-songwriters twlv and The Need while Woohyun also participated in the lyrics on the track.
The intense music video and alluring choreography emanates a restrained sensuality through Woohyun’s suave and smooth performance, in addition to the undeniable chemistry with his backup dancers and the camera.
His unparalleled experience as a member of one of K-pop’s most hailed groups for their “knife-like” choreography and synchronization is evident, in Woohyun’s ability to captivate with every movement through his charismatic and irresistible charms.
