Nine years into his debut as iKON‘s resident husky vocalist, JU-NE made his solo debut on July 3rd at 6 p.m. KST, with his first mini-album BRUISE and the music video for one of two title tracks, “Feel Lost.”
The song is an alternative/indie rock track about running through life nonstop and feeling lonely when you aren’t familiar with being alone. JU-NE wrote and composed “Feel Lost” while GRAY produced the song.
In the accompanying music video, we see two opposing sides of JU-NE. One is a seemingly carefree, sunglasses-wearing rockstar type, while the other staggers aimlessly alone as he deals with loneliness.
The second title track “Hope” is a medium-tempo song that contains empathetic lyrics that convey detailed emotions and a more mature atmosphere, through the singer’s deep and mysterious voice. Before the release of the debut mini album, JU-NE released a live performance clip of the track.
BRUISE contains five songs showcasing the distinct musical spectrum of JU-NE, who participated in writing and composing the entire record. In particular, the closing track “Painful” features fellow iKON member and rapper, BOBBY.
