iKON is hurt and broken in their newest title track, “I’m Okay”!
On January 7th, the YG boy group unveiled the song and its corresponding music video much to the delight of eager fans everywhere.
“I’m Okay” is the title song for their latest album, New Kids Repackage:The New Kids.
The lyrics describe sadness, pain, and frustration of life and love. It tells about the loneliness that grips someone when they feel that they are suffering but nobody understands and how feeling this way had become all too familiar to them that they refuse to be pitied or comforted, hiding the emptiness with a smile because they were going to be “okay.”
B.I and Future Bounce composed the track while B.I, Bobby, and Kim Jong Won wrote lyrics for the song.
The music video predominantly features fire and shows things crashing and burning to emphasize to the feelings contained in the song.
New Kids Repackage: The New Kids is iKON’s first comeback for 2019 and contains 23 tracks. It is the final piece to the group’s New Kids series that began in May 2017.
