Hyolyn, one of K-pop’s original summer queens, is back with a new digital single on August 12th at 6 p.m. KST.
“Wait” is an Afrobeat song with a cool melody and refreshing rhythm. It expresses the desire to be free from everything that holds you back. As well as not making yourself wait and going after what you want moving forward.
The songstress participated in writing and composing the track with a team of global producers, notably The Stereotypes who are known for their work with Bruno Mars and Justin Bieber. Furthermore, the choreography for “Wait” is the creation of famous choreographer Aliya Janell, one of the main dancers on Beyoncé‘s Renaissance World Tour.
The “Wait” music video sees Hyolyn show off her dynamic hip-shaking dance moves in Siquijor, Philippines with the dreamy island landscapes perfectly representing a tropical paradise.
